The Roofing Alliance proudly announces the 10 teams competing in its 11th Annual Construction Management Student Competition. This renowned event will take place on Feb. 20, 2025, at the International Roofing Expo® in San Antonio, Texas, with five finalist teams revealed in January 2025.
The Roofing Alliance is proud to welcome Progressive Roofing, based in Phoenix, Arizona, as its newest Governor Member. Progressive Roofing is the 201st member to join this esteemed group, strengthening a collective of forward-thinking leaders dedicated to shaping and advancing the roofing industry’s future.
The Roofing Alliance invites applications for its 2025 Call for Funding, aimed at advancing the roofing industry through research, education, and technical initiatives. The deadline for submissions is January 1, 2025.
The Roofing Alliance leadership has approved $1 million in funding over four years to establish the Roofing Industry Center, a cutting-edge collaboration between the academic community and the roofing industry. In partnership with Clemson University’s Nieri Department of Construction, Development and Planning, the center will focus on driving innovative research and workforce development programs that aim to address critical challenges within the industry.
When the Roofing Alliance developed a curriculum and provided funding for roofing education at the college level, Tom Urich, who originally had a teaching degree before entering the industry, was a perfect fit.
The Roofing Alliance proudly announces the approval of several key funding projects, including a significant three-year commitment to support the SkillsUSA Initiative and the groundbreaking development of a Roofing Industry Center in partnership with Clemson University. Additionally, funding was allocated to sustain ongoing initiatives, such as the long-standing collaboration with Ronald McDonald House Charities, the continued development of a specialized roofing curriculum in conjunction with Clemson University, critical sustainability research, and the hosting of its annual Construction Management Student Competition, among other vital projects.
The Roofing Alliance is proud to welcome Frost Roofing Inc. of Wapakoneta, Ohio, as a new Governor Member. This induction marks a significant milestone for the Roofing Alliance, celebrating the achievement of reaching 200 members.
The Roofing Alliance proudly announces the 2024-25 Melvin Kruger Endowed Scholarship Award recipients. The program offers three scholarship opportunities, and all categories are open to employees of roofing industry companies, their spouses and dependent children. It is also open to construction management students enrolled in undergraduate level or students enrolled in CTE programs or schools – regardless of industry affiliation.
The Roofing Alliance welcomes its newest member, Roofing Contractor Magazine, Birmingham, Michigan, who has joined at the Service Provider level and is the foundation’s 199th member.
