Since 2022, the Roofing Alliance has hosted three Faculty Retreats on Roofing at Arizona State University. We’ve educated 45 construction management professors about the roofing industry and provided them with the Roofing Alliance-Clemson University nine-hour, three-semester roofing courses to implement in their programs.
Empowering Educators
The retreats feature workshops led by ASU faculty, directed by Dr.
Anthony J. Lamanna, and a key workshop on the nine-credit-hour roofing certificate program
developed by Dr. Dhaval Gajjar of Clemson University.
These comprehensive workshops deepen understanding of roofing principles and offer practical insights to enhance curricula, better preparing students for the industry. Networking opportunities with roofing industry partners are also structured into the retreats.
Expanding Reach
Our reach extends beyond Clemson University, partnering with esteemed
institutions such as Auburn University, Bradley University, California Polytechnic State
University, Colorado State University, Kirkwood Community College, and the University of South
Florida. Together, we’re shaping the next generation of roofing professionals.
Upcoming Retreat
Moving forward, these events will be held biennially. The next in-person
retreat will be held in the Fall of 2025.
