The Roofing Alliance, the Foundation of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), is an influential and diverse membership-based organization that is comprised of roofing contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and roofing professionals. Although the Roofing Alliance was created as an endowment fund for roofing initiatives, they are committed to all facets of the roofing industry including: funding research, roofing education and training, and a wide range of philanthropic endeavors and charitable outreach.
Whether it’s providing roofing industry scholarships (to construction management students, NRCA members’ employees and family members), funding comprehensive training programs, or contributing to community service in the roofing industry, the Roofing Alliance’s objective is to advance education and benefit the overall well-being of local communities. Here are some charitable programs and causes that Roofing Alliance members are passionate about, generously fund, and dedicate their time towards:
National Organizations:
Partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC), Roofing Alliance and NRCA members offer inspections, repairs, and roof system replacements for the 165 stand alone Ronald McDonald Houses in the U.S. These “homes away from home” are provided to families in need who have children being treated for serious illnesses and other debilitating injuries at nearby hospitals. The Roofing Alliance also provided sponsorship funds for the National Women in Roofing (NWIR) association, which is committed to creating more opportunities for women to establish a career in the roofing industry.
Charitable Programs:
The Roofing Alliance has developed several signature programs designed to make a difference in the roofing community. Here are a few of those programs:
The Roofing Alliance gives roofing professionals the opportunity to not only impact their community through funding efforts, but to ensure the success of the industry’s future by supporting a collective forum of roofing professionals committed to developing roofing industry studies and roofing professional development initiatives. The organization has collectively allocated over $5.9 million in funding to distinguished universities and national organizations for technology, education, and research study projects. The Roofing Alliance has also funded NRCA’s ProCertification® program, an in-depth work training program that is designed to recruit, educate, and retain the next generation of roofing professionals.
Membership opportunities with the Roofing Alliance are available to all roofing professionals. For more information on our organization’s objectives or how you can make a commitment to the Roofing Alliance, please contact us today.
