We will be sending out another round of thank-you plaques as a small token of our appreciation to all our partners in our Ronald McDonald House Charities© initiative. If you have not sent us your high-resolution company logo, please do so. And continue to send us details of your roof inspections, the dollar value of your in-kind services and materials, and photos or videos of you and your staff in striped socks—just let staff know how many pairs you need—volunteering at your Houses.
We would like to encourage you to connect with your local House in addition to doing roof inspections and maintenance. There are numerous ways you can help your local Ronald McDonald House: serve meals (this is a great opportunity for your employees to get involved), read bedtime stories, participate in fundraisers, talk about your experiences, help with additional house improvements and check with the House. Each House has its own unique needs.
Heidi Ellsworth, HJE Consulting Group, is putting the finishing touches on our “Roofing Alliance Toolkit for Ronald McDonald House Charities© Partners.” Once it is complete, we will send a copy to each of our partners. The toolkit will include information such as sample reports—roof inspection, picture samples and agreement of work and roles—and developing a communications plan—where to send press releases and articles, press release template sample and guidelines; social media samples; website examples; opportunities to promote your local Ronald McDonald House; logo use and more.
