Our sixth annual Construction Management Student Competition is entering the final stage. Our judges reviewed the written proposals submitted Dec. 9, 2019, by the eight teams participating in this year’s competition. After reviewing, scoring and holding a conference call to finalize the selections, the five finalist teams have been invited to the 2020 International Roofing Expo® in Dallas, where they will give oral presentations starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, in room D167/D174 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
The teams will be drawing for their presentation times when they check in Monday, Feb. 3, before attending the Roofing Alliance Member Reception at The Loft at Gilley’s Dallas.
On Tuesday morning, Feb. 4, the teams will go on a job-site visit of the Ford Center—the indoor practice facility of the Dallas Cowboys, which is part of the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters in Frisco, Texas. Tuesday and Wednesday, the students will participate in an “Expo Run,” which will connect them with exhibiting Roofing Alliance members. On Wednesday evening, Feb. 5, the winning teams will be announced at NRCA’s Industry Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception starting at 5 p.m. in Ballroom A1-4 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
We encourage you to support the competition by attending the oral presentations. As you register for the IRE, be sure to register for the student competition.
Congratulations to our finalist teams!
