Thank you for stepping up to the challenge! We are extremely excited to announce the roofs of 165 stand-alone Ronald McDonald houses throughout the U.S. have been adopted by Roofing Alliance and NRCA contractors! Kudos to Charles Antis for bringing this opportunity to our attention in the first place; Rod Petrick for his passion, drive and issuing numerous challenges to motivate us; and those of you who adopted the roofs for committing to annual roof inspections, emergency repairs and preventive maintenance services. A safe, watertight roof is essential for the homes where RMHC is helping families with sick children by keeping them together and close to the medical care they need when they need it most. We know we can count on the support of our members, but this shows the generous spirit of our industry!
The partnership between RMHC and the roofing industry is a first for the organization and has been met with rave reviews. “We are grateful to our tremendous partners at the Roofing Alliance and astounded by the collaboration of the industry to support 165 Houses across the country,” said Sheila Musolino, president and CEO of RMHC. “On behalf of the entire RMHC system and the children and families we serve, we thank you for your immense support.”
As a small token of our appreciation, we are preparing plaques for our partners. If you haven’t sent staff your high-resolution company logos, please do so. Also, keep us up to date with details regarding the roofs and the dollar value of your in-kind services and materials. Let staff know how many striped socks you would like for your employees, and we will send them to you. Email us photos of them wearing the socks when they are volunteering at the houses.
